SCOLA is the acronym for Student's Council on Legal Aid. It is a council of students who are vast in legal knowledge together with students who are passionate to the course of justice.

SCOLA is a body of students by the students and for the students, as it offers free legal aid to bona fide students of the host university for the purpose of fostering the course of justice and maintaining peace and order among the students of Nigerian Universities.

SCOLA is the student arm of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria. Legal Aid Council is a Federal Government agency, under the Ministry of Justice, saddled with the responsibility of rendering free legal services to indigent Nigerians who cannot afford the service of legal practitioners. Legal Aid Council of Nigeria is the mother body of SCOLA Nigeria ... We have had plethora of cases with this agency in other universities.
